Autumn 2025 Consultation

Autumn 2025 consultation

Previously, we invited feedback from the local community on our initial proposals for Cambridge 25 during a public consultation held from 8 September – 29 September 2025.

These initial proposals and redline boundary are as below.

Initial proposals and redline boundary – Autumn 2025

The autumn consultation included three public drop-in events on 19 September (in Bar Hill), 20 September (in Northstowe) and 25 September (in Longstanton).

We also held an additional pop-up in Oakington on 13 October, ahead of attending the Oakington & Westwick Parish Council meeting.

We would like to thank everyone who engaged with us and provided comments on the initial proposals. The priorities we learnt from local people from these events include:

  • Traffic and transport are important
  • Infrastructure should go in early
  • Facilities should be provided to help people use and enjoy the nature park
  • Creating more jobs in the region was important and welcomed
  • The development should deliver benefits for the local villages not just the Cambridge region
  • Public access is important – that the scheme is ‘not gated’ and that people can get to and through it easily
  • People don’t want antisocial behaviour from lorries parking in the wrong places

The new masterplan is shaped and informed both by the details of the draft allocation and by everything we learned from this initial consultation.

A comprehensive summary of the feedback we received through this initial consultation will be included within our Statement of Community Engagement report submitted alongside our planning application.
